Terms of service

The service

Sunday Tally is provided by TR Studios free of charge. It runs in your web browser: you enter gifts, and it totals them by fund, bank account and donor number, and produces deposit sheets, exports and giving statements. There’s no account to create.

We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering the service, at any time. Because your data is stored where you choose and can be exported, you keep it either way.

Your data

Everything you enter belongs to you or your church. We don’t receive it, store it or claim any rights to it. How it’s handled is described in our privacy policy.

You choose where it’s kept: in memory only, in your browser, or in your own Google Drive. You’re responsible for keeping backups. Browser storage can be cleared, devices can fail, and memory-only data is gone when the tab closes. Use the app’s exports to keep a copy in your church’s records.

Google Drive

If you connect Google Drive, the file is stored in your Google account and your use of Drive is governed by Google’s terms. You can disconnect at any time from the app’s Settings, and remove the app’s access from your Google account.

Your responsibilities

• Check the numbers. Reconcile totals with the cash and checks counted and with the bank deposit before you rely on them. The app is a tool to help your counting team, not a replacement for your church’s internal controls.
• Giving statements and tax receipts. Sunday Tally produces summaries to help you prepare statements. Your church is responsible for making sure any statement or receipt it issues meets the rules where you are. Nothing in the app is legal, tax or accounting advice.
• Donor privacy. The app is designed around donor numbers, not names. Handle any personal information connected to those numbers according to your church’s policies and the law.
• Fair use. Don’t use the service to break the law, or try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the website or the systems it relies on.

No warranty

Sunday Tally is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We work hard to keep it correct and available, but we don’t promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TR Studios isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, money or records, arising from your use of the service. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which is nothing.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms. Questions? Reach TR Studios through our website.
